That little bag to clean up after dogs is so cute. Perhaps, if I had a little bag like that, it would make me prettier as well. It must feel good, to be taken care of like that! Swiss dogs probably have better lives and better foods than other dogs. They certainly have clean air, even when out to do their business! They seem more relaxed in that moment, or, could it be that this is the national character of the Swiss?

通りでみかける犬の糞用ビニール袋が可愛い。自分の糞もあの袋にいれれば少しは価値もかわるんじゃないかと思うほど。さぞかし気分も良いだろうに。きっとスイスの犬も生活水準が高く、良いものばかり食べているに違いない。恥ずかしそうに糞をする顔もどこか品があり、緊張感がある。もっと楽にすれば良いと思うが、糞でさえ真面目に糞張るというこのスイスの国民性が好きだ。

The zest over Swiss chocolate is all about that moment when you pop it into your mouth. It's the pleasure of chocolate melting over nuts and pieces of caramel, it's pleasure of taste. Chocolate is not always so super-sweet, sometimes it gives a bitter resistance... Swiss architecture is this way as well. Some buildings are stuck out and big, and some are dented like real humans.

スイスチョコの醍醐味は、お口とどう向かい合うかにある。それはチョコからはみ出たナッツのごつごつさであったり、板の薄さ、大きさだったりする。チョコは甘く仲良くしてくれたり、ビターな反抗をしてみせたり結構いろいろ。スイス建築も似たようなもの。化粧ののりがよかったり、肌あれしていたり、時には大きくでっぱってみたり、へこんでみたり。そんな人間臭いところがかわいい。

In October of last year, our "YUBIWA HOTEL" joined the Performance Arts Festival in Bern, Switzerland, and entertained people with a big "dinner show." There, I had difficulty finding still water to drink, so I drank it directly from the bear-shaped fountains. It was a funny experience, for sure, but I can now say, "it was the best water I have ever drunk!"

昨年の10月、私の主宰する"指輪ホテル"はスイス・ベルンで行われたパフォーミングアーツのフェスティバルに参加し、レストランで食事をしながらパフォーマンスを楽しんでもらうという、巨大お食事会を開催してきました。ちょっぴり困ったのはお水。かの地は、炭酸水が主流だったので、街角にひんぱんに見かける熊をかたちどった噴水から直接水を飲んでいて、よく笑われていましたが、私のおなかはこわれることなく東京に帰ってから「ベルンの熊水」はうまかったよと勝手に吹聴しております。
